The theory test is in two parts, multiple choice questions and hazard perception video clips. The test is all on computer and carried out at various purpose built Theory Test Centres around the country. These are NOT the same centres as are used for the Practical test so make sure you are familiar with the location of the test centre you want before you set out! There are 50 multiple choice questions and you must answer 43 correctly to pass. There is also the hazard perception part of the test with 14 short video clips showing various driving hazards which you must click as soon asyou recognise the hazard. the sooner you click the better your score will be. You must score 44 out of 75 to pass this part of the test. Remember, you have to pass BOTH parts to pass the test.
